We are currently looking for an entry level Maintenance Technician to join our team on 2nd shift, with working hours Monday through Friday, 3:00pm-11:00pm or 3rd shift, with working hours Sunday-Thursday, 11:00pm-7:00am.

Starting rate begins at $24.00 per hour and will be determined based on experience. 2nd & 3rd shift will receive an additional shift differential of $2.50 per hour.

Position Purpose

Responsible to perform duties to maintain and repair plant machinery, equipment, power tools, hand tools, electrical systems, heating systems, and other building maintenance necessary at the plant.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Check all lights, heat/air conditioning, ovens, and boiler upon entering the plant each day to assure that they are working satisfactorily. Diagnose any malfunctions and make the necessary repairs in a timely manner.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, and mechanical systems for the facility and the production equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics.
  • Install any new machinery, including all electrical work necessary.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on a scheduled basis.
  • Properly maintain all assigned equipment; meet efficiency and productivity standards set up for the position.


Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
  • Knowledge and use of advanced trades mathematics together with the use of complicated drawings, specifications, charts, tables, handbook formulas
  • Ability to trouble shoot and wire simple circuits in various voltages AC/DC
  • Troubleshooting of PLC and PC based controls.
  • Ability to use all varieties of precision measuring instruments, personal computer and specific software application programs of a technical nature involving a thorough technical skills knowledge plus the application of basic theory.
  • Basic welding skills Mig, Tig, Stick use of torches a plus
  • Basic understanding of Hydraulics and Pneumatics Principals and concepts
  • Ability to work at various heights using scissor lift or boom lift.
  • Fundamentals of rigging and lifting equipment, overhead hoist, and cranes
  • Be knowledgeable of and perform duties according to applicable ISO 9001 Standard Operating Procedures
  • Must be able and willing to learn new skills and various other trades.
  • Ability to work off shifts and or overtime not limited to Weekends or Holidays to complete tasks or job assignments as needed.

Qualifications / Prior Experience
  • Equivalent to a completed accredited apprenticeship in a recognized trade, craft or occupation; or equivalent to a 2-year technical college education.
  • Experience with 480-volt 3 phase AC to 24-volt DC.
  • Experience with 480-volt 3 phase AC, Motor Controls, and voltages down to 24-volt DC.
  • Minimum of 1 year or more of experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar position.
  • Prefer a minimum of 1 year of experience with Plastic Blow Mold and Injection Machines, induction heating equipment
  • Prefer 2 or more years working with Metal Presses, Stamping, Tool & Die, and other Metal forming equipment.

Work Environment / Other Requirements
  • Ability to hold and use a variety of hand tools, electrical meters and power tools. necessary to perform work done in the plant.
  • Ability to properly and safely lift materials/tools weighing up to 25 pounds, though some heavy lifting of machinery parts or tools is necessary using proper assistance and move it onto appropriate equipment if necessary.
  • Ability to safely climb ladders and/or the superstructure of the building, carrying the necessary tools in a safe manner.
  • Ability to move around the shop floor.
  • Ability to bend, squat and crawl to work on equipment.
  • Follow all plant safety rules and regulations.
  • Ability to run Fork truck and other various equipment if needed.
  • Meet quality control standards.
  • Keep work areas clean.
  • Meet attendance and punctuality requirements.
  • Perform any and all other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
