Through our reclamation process and state-of-the-art extrusion equipment, we’re able to recycle over 100 million pounds of plastic every year.


Job Summary

The Material Handler operates a forklift efficiently around the warehouse. Delivering material for production as well as loading and unloading products in the shipping and receiving department.

Essential Functions

  • Maintains an organized warehouse storage system
  • Drive a forklift
  • Inspects product load for accuracy
  • Sorts product before loading/unloading
  • Secures & safely transports materials to designated areas
  • Works closely with the Warehouse Team Lead and Production Supervisors to maintain the required inventory
  • Reviews the daily schedule of production work orders & stage the materials
  • Examine materials and products to ensure they meet high-quality standards
  • Weigh, measure, or process materials or ingredients according to formulas & work orders
  • Monitor equipment to ensure safe operations and the safety of all employees
  • Transfer materials and supplies as needed using a forklift or manual methods
  • Make sure all machinery and equipment is clean and working properly at all times
  • Use of a variety of hand tools
  • Adhere to all WMC Health & Safety practices, including completing mandatory training.
  • Clean and maintain all equipment, using hand tools.
  • Keep and maintain a clean and safe work area
  • All other duties as assigned

  • Ability to use power tools & other hand-held tools

Education and/or Experience

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment required.
  • Mechanical orientation, ability to troubleshoot preferred.
  • At least 1 year of forklift (PIV/PIT) experience required.
  • Experience with MRP Inventory software (IQMS) preferred.

Work Environment

  • Plant/manufacturing facility. Not completely temperature controlled.
  • 50% Exposure to hazards
  • 50% Extreme temperatures

Physical Demands

The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and use hands and arms. May be required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl or crouch.
