Pastor – North Freedom Baptist Church

North Freedom Baptist Church is seeking a pastor to serve God in rural Sauk County, Wisconsin. This is an unique opportunity for someone seeking a rural/family/community-oriented ministry.

North Freedom Baptist Church was established in 1858 and is a member of the North American Baptist Conference. North Freedom is a small village located just a few minutes from the cities of Baraboo, Reedsburg, and Wisconsin Dells.

The church is a community of believers led by the Holy Spirit to glorify God by demonstrating God's love and making disciples of Jesus Christ. The church strives to honor Christ in all North Freedom Baptist Church do and desire to see the community know and love Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

The church is seeking a pastor with the passion for serving the spiritual needs of a diverse congregation by teaching the entire Gospel/Bible.

The church team includes an Elder Board, other church officers, and congregation members. The church is an average attendance of around 20 people each Sunday, with potential for growth.

Duties would include planning and leading Sunday morning worship, teaching adult Sunday School class, and possibly teaching midweek Bible Study. This position could have the ability for advancement opportunity as the church congregation grows. Start date is flexible.

Requirements and Qualifications

The church is seeking applicants with the following qualifications:

  • seminary training and/or a bachelor’s degree from an accredited Bible college
  • ability to converse in a loving and Christ-centered way with diverse groups of people.


Other desirable skills could include computer literacy, musical gifts, or other skills that assist pastoring a church and revealing God’s love.

Special Notes

The church is looking for a part-time pastor, a bi-vocational or semi-retired candidate. When the church grows, the position may grow into more of a full-time position.
