Shop Hand - North Park Lincoln
We have an excellent opportunity for a hardworking and detail-oriented Shop Hand to join our service team. The Shop Hand will assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the service center, as well as performing minor maintenance tasks to support the smooth operation of the facility.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and organizing the service center and equipment.
- Assist with moving and organizing tools, supplies, and parts within the service area.
- Handle light maintenance duties, such as replacing light bulbs, maintaining air pressure systems, and checking fluid levels in equipment.
- Dispose of shop waste and ensure the shop floor is kept safe and free of hazards.
- Assist service technicians with vehicle setup and clean-up before and after service.
- Operate dealership vehicles to transport them around the service center or to offsite locations.
- Conduct routine checks on service equipment and report any issues to management.
- Support the service team with any additional duties as required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Prior experience in a service or maintenance role is beneficial.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair is a plus.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee frequently needs to walk; use hands to handle or feel objects; reach with hands and arms; and communicate effectively. Occasionally, the employee may need to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and may occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
