Job Summary:

The BDC Manager oversees the business development center (BDC). In this position, you are responsible for hiring and training the representatives who contact potential buyers with the goal of scheduling appointments for the buyers to meet with our sales representatives.

Supervisory Responsibilities - Overseas all team members on the BDC Team.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Ensures all internet leads are followed up with until completion of sale.
  • Exhibit ethical behavior, provide the highest degree of customer satisfaction and be honest in all aspects of dealing with customers.
  • Answer customer inquiries and calls when necessary.
  • Follow up with aged sales leads.
  • Manage and track all leads.
  • Manage all incoming and outgoing phone calls and emails.
  • Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly sales forecasts.
  • Work closely with executive and department managers to develop appointment setting strategies.
  • Handle our customer contacts through CRM, service, follow-up and lead generations.
  • Schedule sales/service appointments and reschedule no-show customers.
  • Provide training and ongoing support to the business development representatives to help the team understand and achieve the dealership's goals.
  • Learn to overcome objections and thrive within sales situations.
  • Answer customer internet inquires by both email and phone.
  • Manage day-to-day business of the business development center.
  • Achieve the sales and customer satisfaction objective set by management.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Excellent communication skills both oral, written, and electronic.
  • Outstanding organizational skills.
  • Service-oriented, ability to stay calm even when dealing with difficult customers.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office, and other electronic communications such as email, text, video calls, etc.
  • Management and leadership skills
Education and Experience:
  • 2 years of experience working as a sales manager for a dealership preferred.
  • 2 years leading a high performing sales team preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A valid in-state driver's license.


Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, kneel, crouch, stoop, squat, twisting upper body, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee may be required to lift up to 50 pounds.
