Job Description We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Director role in a Sporting Goods Manufacturing company based in Arizona. They are seeking a dynamic and experienced Quality Director to lead the Quality Assurance team. The Quality Director will be responsible for overseeing and enhancing all aspects of product quality, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer expectations. This role involves managing a team of Engineers, Technicians, and Inspectors both domestically and internationally. Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred. A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in quality assurance or a related field, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership position. Preferably bilingual: fluent or conversational in Mandarin. Strong technical background with expertise in quality management systems, statistical process control, and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean). Proven history of leading quality improvement initiatives and achieving measurable results in a manufacturing or production setting. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Demonstrated ability to think strategically, analyze complex problems, and develop innovative solutions. Experience in the electric bike industry or a related field is a plus. Responsibilities: Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance quality data systems and processes for capturing and analyzing non-conformance data. Work directly with Tier 1 and 2 suppliers to enhance product quality, reduce defects, and improve overall customer satisfaction. Lead and mentor a team across different time zones, providing guidance, support, training, and development. Maintain and continuously improve quality control processes and procedures throughout the product lifecycle, from design and development to manufacturing and distribution. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Operations, and Procurement, to identify quality issues, root causes, and corrective actions. Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement, and develop strategies to address them. Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including process optimization to ensure comprehensive data capture and efficient analysis for actionable insights. Conduct regular supplier quality management audits, performance reviews, and customer feedback analysis. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal quality policies and procedures. Communicate effectively with senior management and key stakeholders, providing regular updates on quality performance, initiatives, and challenges.
