Title: Retail Store Planner

Location: Washington, D.C.

Salary: Competitive salary and benefits package based on qualifications; classified as full-time salaried; exempt and not eligible for overtime.

Reports to: Director of Planning

Travel: May require occasional travel

Position Overview

We are looking for a Retail Store Planner who is responsible for assisting in planning responsibilities for our Brick and Mortar retail channel through strategic merchandise planning, controlled inventory management, and actionable reporting and insights. This individual assists in managing the open to buy for select categories and is able to speak to both pre-season and in-season plans. To excel, this person must have excellent analytical skills, applicable retail or work experience, creative problem-solving skills, and enjoy working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Core Responsibilities

  1. Support the planning team in managing the planning and allocation process for Tuckernuck's Brick & Mortar store.
  2. Support the team in developing and maintaining various reporting and analytical tools to meet/exceed sales and financial goals.
  3. Liaise with our cross-functional teams to make assortment planning decisions based on historical and in-season data.
  4. Analyze and recap actual sales results to plan and forecast in-season sales and inventory on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc basis.
  5. Participate in the completion of departmental tasks, ensuring deadlines are met.
  6. Provide administrative support and/or analysis.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's Degree
  2. At least 5+ years of relevant experience
  3. Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint
  4. Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  5. Strong organizational skills with a sense of priority for deadlines and attention to detail
