Remote, Work from Home (Metro DC area is preferred)

@Orchard LLC is supporting a growing Federal contractor with strength in Financial and Budgetary Management, Data Analytics, Data Management, IT Infrastructure, Change Management, and other related solutions, supporting the Department of Defense. Our client has an urgent need for a junior to mid-level Data Migration Analyst with active Secret clearance for a project supporting the US Army.

The Data Migration Analyst provides support to the Army Enterprise Business Systems (EBS) Multi-Functional Capabilities Team (MFCT), a coalition of functional representatives driving requirements for enterprise resource planning readiness and modernization by 2032. Specifically, this position will support the Data Management Workstream in driving data quality activities and coordinating across MFCT teams and with PMO/System Integrator. The core competency needed is for someone experienced in supporting the migration of data between legacy platforms and new systems, including an understanding of necessary steps to ensure data integrity throughout data movement across platforms.

As the Data Analyst, your responsibilities will include:
  • Develop and implement data migration strategies for SAP ERP systems.
  • Work with various stakeholders to understand data requirements and constraints.
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy during the migration process.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data migration issues.
  • Create detailed documentation of data migration processes.
  • Develop and execute data validation and reconciliation plans.
  • Coordinate with IT teams and system integrators on migration activities.
  • Provide functional data expertise associated with the data domains.
  • Support the documentation of functional specs and mapping.
  • Support end-user data validation activities (business rules) in collaboration with data quality analysts/data validators and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Data Analyst to establish and enforce data governance and master data policies, standards, and procedures to maintain high data quality and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Support the collaboration with stakeholders regarding master data across key domains (e.g., Material, customer, vendor) to implement and maintain robust master data governance practices, ensuring data consistency and accuracy across master data definition and maintenance.
  • Support Development and monitor data governance policies, standards, and frameworks to support the client's objectives.
  • Support and maintain clear and detailed documentation of data analysis procedures, data stewardship alignment, and master data governance policies, and workflows.
Requirements:
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and hold an active Secret Clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, plus 3 years of related work experience.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience with developing data migration strategies for SAP systems, or other ERP.
  • Prior experience supporting data migration between a legacy and a new ERP platform environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working with diverse teams and influencing senior management.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
Preferred:
  • Experience supporting large-scale government ERP implementations (SAP, Oracle, and/or Peoplesoft or similar integrated technology solutions).
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense Clients (Army preferred).
  • Experience facilitating collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience working remotely within a large project.
  • Familiarity with Agile principles and/or development projects.
  • Experience with Federal financials and logistics data sets.
