The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy equipment, especially with cranes, as well as possibly but not limited to bulldozers, excavators, loaders, graders, and other construction and earthmoving machinery. Responsibilities:
- Utilize cutting-edge diagnostic tools for precise identification of mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic issues in heavy construction equipment.
- Conduct comprehensive inspections and repairs covering:
- Undercarriage components
- Steel structures
- Wear on critical parts
- Hydraulic system integrity
- Other key systems.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and assess the condition of materials such as steel.
- Maintain records using specialized Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), detailing:
- Repairs
- Parts used (including steel components)
- Equipment condition for tracking and reporting.
- Document all maintenance activities, providing a comprehensive history of heavy equipment maintenance.
- Work closely with heavy equipment manufacturers and engineering teams to address:
- Specific equipment requirements
- Modifications
- Enhancements.
- Root Cause Analysis:
- Conduct root cause analyses on heavy equipment failures, implementing corrective actions.
