Apple Accessories Hardware Engineering team is seeking a driven and hardworking electrical engineer for electrical system design and architecture. As a successful applicant, you will work on design and architecture of future Apple products and embedded low power systems. This provides an opportunity to work closely with various Apple product teams such as iPhone, Mac and VisionPro. You will provide guidance on the roadmap, lead initial phases of system development and work closely with multi-functional teams throughout different stages of design from silicon and system architecture to prototyping and manufacturing. Will you help us design the next generation Accessories that integrate innovative technologies and push the boundaries of low-power electrical design? The team has developed and shipped a long list of products from MagSafe products to AirTags, to a variety of USB-C & Lightning products which help the customers to fully-utilize and enjoy the Apple ecosystem. Description
You will become part of a technology development team that nurtures engineering excellence and creativity. On the team you will engage with a rewarding variety of responsibilities:
- Leading the new product architecture and silicon definition
- Working cross functionally on early product scoping and functional specification
- Reviewing, influencing, and challenging system performance decisions with new functionality in order to enhance customer experience
- Reviewing, challenging, and creatively influencing product concepts & roadmaps across groups
- Defining, simulating, and modeling product performance vs. power and other metrics
- Regularly reporting project status to the leadership
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field plus 5+ years of relevant industry experience
- Outstanding EE fundamentals
- Deep knowledge of analog and digital electrical circuits including silicon
- Experience with product concept development and system architecture
- Experience with digital hardware design such as micro-controllers and digital interfaces
Key Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s, or PhD degree
- Experience in detailed EE design, EE schematics entry and layout
- Experience with custom Silicon development
- Experience with I2C, SPI, SPMI, MIPI, etc.
- Direct experience with high volume consumer products, manufacturing process and mass production is a plus
- Electrical system leadership or management experience
- Proven track record of working in fast paced innovative work environment
- Strong analytical/problem solving skills and ability to guide critical decisions
- Strong communication skills and outstanding ability to work well cross-functionally
