You will work on world class CPU, GPU, Analog/Mixed Signal and SOC designs by designing test platforms for future Apple products.You'll explore and enable new technology for design teams. Collaborate with cross-functional engineers in the design and development of complex, detailed layouts of rigid and flexible printed circuit boards using PCB CAD applications and tools. Design SiVal test boards using the latest PCB fabrication technologies.We are looking for passionate engineers to join our team. Description
- Design and layout high density printed circuit boards (PCBs) using Cadence Allegro- Design from early placement through routing and final rule checks.- Place high density and high quantity (up to 10000+) of components- Thorough and extensive understanding of Cadence Allegro. Including all aspects of Constraint manager, Importing/exporting of a multitude of varying filetypes, design details, and processes.- Incorporate Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and Design for Test (DFT) principles throughout the product development lifecycle.- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure the highest quality PCB designs.- Generate constraints based on schematic interpretation, design rules, manufacturing rules, and mechanical specifications- Resolve PCB design issues with fabrication and manufacturing vendors.- Provide complex input into the PCB design specifications and standards with respect to manufacturing capabilities, design limitations, and design limitations to determine trade-offs necessary to meet goals and produce high quality PCBs within schedule.
Minimum Qualifications
- Strong PCB CAD layout experience.
- Expertise using Cadence Allegro for multi-layer PCB layout.
- Detailed knowledge of mixed signal PCB design layout, PCB manufacturing, and PCB assembly technologies and processes.
- BS in Electrical, Mechanical, or related degree program with 10 years of proven experience.
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $140,700 and $280,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
