POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for managing various tasks within the accounting department, including accounts payables, ACH returns, PAC arrangements, as well as entries related to banking and general ledger activity and support of annual tax and statutory filings.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
  1. Enter invoices into accounting system
  2. Support and complete PAC arrangements (new and maintenance)
  3. Review Bank EFT returned items
  4. Maintain Family Travel worksheet
  5. Compile and maintain tax worksheet info
  6. Mail W-9 requests and prepare 1099s
  7. Research questions about invoices and/or checks from managers
  8. Depositing and receipting checks
  9. Assist in processing stale dated checks
  10. Perform other tasks/duties as assigned by supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Associate degree in Accounting or equivalent business experience

Experience:

One to two years' experience serving in a similar role

Skills and Abilities:
  1. Understanding of computer systems, financial reporting and investments, proficient with Microsoft Excel
  2. Accuracy with attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines and various ongoing tasks
  3. Ability to learn and take on new tasks and initiatives
  4. Respect and appreciation for the mission of Everence
