Assists directorate, supervisors, and/or other staff members with projects as assigned.
Job Duties:
Provides administrative, clerical, and analytical support to directorate. Applies learned knowledge of real-life business situation. Utilizes applicable computer systems/programs to perform assigned tasks. Assists other staff members in projects as assigned. Researches assigned projects and gather data for assigned project. May produce reports, memos, and other documents. Interacts with applicable elements of the organization. May assist in preparing and presenting presentations. May assist management in coordinating projects. May attend meetings. Other duties may be assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No supervisory responsibility.
Qualifications:
INTERNSHIP REQUIREMENTS:
1. Must be a current student of an accredited university, a recent high school graduate who has been accepted into a college or university, or a student pursuing certification or licensing through a trade school.
2. GPA of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
3. Must be 18 or older.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or six months related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT
No additional required.
COMPUTER SKILLS
An individual should have knowledge of Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
A valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating may be required by department.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must be able to operate standard office equipment and computer software.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions; extreme heat and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
