PURPOSE OF POSITION:
This position is primarily responsible for managing production schedules within the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software INFOR.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Review new customer orders and establish production schedules compatible with customer requirements and production capabilities.
- Ensure that sales and customer requests align with IEM published lead times and coordinate with the Manufacturing Manager if requested ship date is within lead times.
- Coordinate planning and scheduling with the production schedulers on order release dates and timing of assembly and shipping.
- Schedule production of product lines through all work centers using ERP.
- Revise and reschedule orders as directed by the Production Planning Manager or Manufacturing Manager to compensate for expedited orders, material shortages, and customer cancellations or supplier’s failure to deliver on time
- Coordinate with design and fabrication teams to ensure that metal packages are ready to support upcoming schedules
- Interface with production personnel to assist in providing schedules for manufacturing operations.
- Analyze sales order releases with respect to capacity planning and escalate concerns to Production Planning Manager.
- Adhere to established safety guidelines, established policies, processes and procedures.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in business administration, finance or supply chain is a plus.
- Experience with ERP System is plus.
