We are seeking a Legal Recruiting Coordinator - Asset Management & Investment Funds for the Boston office. This role involves managing various aspects of the recruitment process, from initial contact to post-offer activities and ensuring a seamless experience for all candidates. The Coordinator is supervised by the Principal Recruiter for their dedicated practice area(s) to ensure their recruitment efforts align with firm and practice-based strategy. They will work closely with the Student Recruiting Team to support the summer and first year associate programs.

Key Relationships:

HR team members; Office Managing Partners, Practice Area Leaders (PALs) and Practice Group Coordinators (PGCs) hiring partners, Directors of Practice Operations, and external vendors and search firms

Key duties include but are not limited to:

Essential duties
  • Student and Lateral Associate Recruitment: Coordinate scheduling candidate interviews, travel arrangements, hotel reservations, and expense reimbursements; assist in producing all necessary correspondence related to recruiting efforts; assist with the preparation, coordination, and scheduling of on-campus and job fair interviews; process resumes received from candidates, placement firms, and referrals; maintain recruitment database and all recruitment and candidates' files
  • Summer Associate Program: Coordinate all events with student recruiting team, including orientation, training programs and social events; assist with tracking of summer associate assignments and evaluations; attend summer associate events as necessary; assist in producing necessary correspondence related to the program
  • Talent Management: Coordinate pre-arrival and onboarding details for new lawyers, including, but not limited to, bar examination and review course fees, stipend and advance payments, orientation programs, and new hire paperwork
  • L&PD: Coordinate with the Professional Development Team and Student Recruiting Team regarding Summer and First Year Associate curriculum, including serving as On-Site Coordinator for the office
  • Coordinating room bookings, catering, presenter and program materials, room set up, and finalizing attendance numbers
  • Attend industry events as networking opportunities to expand professional connections and promote the Firm as a leader in their practice area(s)
  • Organizing and coordinating the production and distribution of training materials
Additional duties
  • Working on ad hoc projects and completing other operational or administrative duties as required
  • Providing coverage for other practices when individuals are on leave or demands are particularly heavy
Experience and Skills required:
  • Bachelor's degree required, previous experience within a law firm, partnership, or other professional services environment desirable
  • Administrative experience supporting recruiting and learning and professional development functions, preferably in a professional services environment
  • Proficiency in office software, including document processing, spreadsheets, databases, electronic mail and calendars, internet access, and an applicant tracking system
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with all levels within an organization and maintain productive relationships
  • Ability to anticipate issues, solve problems, initiate actions, handle multiple tasks and projects, and adjust to changing priorities
  • Highly organized with strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong work ethic and professional approach, takes accountability for achieving what is expected
  • Ability to follow instructions and adhere to a process
  • Exemplary attention to detail
  • Ability to work well in a team with a positive, "can do" attitude
  • Focus on continuous improvement and demonstrates an innovative approach
  • Experience working with legal search firms and facilitating and negotiating lateral placement agreements desirable
  • Demonstrated interest and investment in extracurricular and personal professional development activities within professional associations such as NALP, ALA, SHRM, or local groups desirable
Additional abilities required:
  • Ability to work overtime and some travel with overnight stays may be required
  • This job operates in an office setting and is largely sedentary, requiring the routine use of a computer and other standard office equipment. The ability to open file cabinets, lift files, bend, and stand on a stool may also be required.
Compensation Salary $77,000 - $115,000

The compensation salary for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs, and market factors.
