Trinity Rail is hiring an Expert Welder at our Jonesboro plant.

The Expert Welder position is a great opportunity for a resilient, team-minded individual who does not stray away from a challenge. As a member of the team at Trinity, you'll use jigs/holding fixtures to lay out pieces to be welded according to blueprints, layouts, schematics, or work orders and uses manual/semi-automatic/automatic welding equipment to join, surface, fabricate and repair parts of metal or other weldable materials. Inspects completed work for conformance to specifications and performs minor maintenance to equipment.
In this position you will be considered an expert and/or specialist that works on a variety of complex duties and advanced tasks. You will adapt processes, tools, equipment and techniques to accomplish manufacturing goals. You will apply appropriate welding processes to join, surface, fabricate and repair parts of metal or other weldable materials according to layouts, work orders, blueprints, schematics, and sketches using manual, automatic welding and/or semi-automatic welding equipment. May lay out and mark weld points on parts or subassemblies. May position pieces to be welded into jigs, holding fixtures, guides and steps using measuring instruments and hand tools. May inspect completed work for conformance to specifications. You will observe all standard safety practices, maintain and complete all required records. May be involved in safety committees or initiatives. Performs other duties as assigned.

•Apply extensive techinical or trades knowledge and skill to complete complex tasks
•Be familiar with a broad variety of feild's concepts, practices and procedures
•May operate complex equipment and/or understand complex dreawing and diagrams
•Independent judgment and resourcefulness are required
•Solves complex problems using advanced techical knowledge and creativity

Minimum 4-6+ years of related experience
