As a Machine Operator, you will be mainly responsible for operating a large printer to fabricate designs/art onto glass. You will also assist with offloading and washing glass in other departments on a daily basis.

- Total compensation pay range: $20-$22/hr. depending on experience
- 3rd Shift Differential: $3.00/hr.
- Quarterly safety bonus opportunities

- Shift Days and Hours: 3rd (Sun-Thurs, 10:00pm - 6:30am)

Who You Are:
The Ideal candidate will have 2+ years relevant experience operating machines in a manufacturing environment. Glass industry experience preferred.
What You Will Be Doing:
As a Machine Operator, you will be mainly responsible for operating a large printer to fabricate designs/art onto glass. You will also assist with offloading and washing glass in other departments on a daily basis.
- Set up and operate the laser printer/equipment to ensure that all ceramic frit operations are run efficiently and that production schedules are being met.
- Continuously monitor all work in process to guarantee its efficiency and to minimize waste.
- Follow work instructions by reading labels to expedite the production process; understands and communicates paperwork and labels.
- Maintain positive safety standards consistent with published safety regulations, directives and commonly accepted safety procedures.
- Transport glass or other materials from one position/location to another in an effort to expedite the production process.
- Handle and move glass from tables, furnace, rolling racks, delivery trucks, or wooden crates.
- Inspects product for any abnormalities, cracks, chips, etc. and notifies supervisor immediately of any issues.
- Must be willing to be cross-trained and move to other areas when needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills You Bring:
- Strong attention to detail.
- Must be able to read a tape measure.
- Must be able to lift/carry 50 to 75 lbs. unassisted. Must be able to lift up to 150 lbs. with assistance.
- The ability to stand for long periods of time.
- The ability to communicate, and to work as part of a team.
- Must be willing to work in other departments as required.
- Working knowledge of plant operations, computers, hoists, and lifts preferred.
- Regular and predictable attendance, safe performance of tasks, and adherence to all safety policies and procedures are essential functions of the job.
