Our PACT

General Description

Under the direction of the VP of Cast Products, the Foundry Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the beginning processes in the foundry, including mold operations, pouring, casting shakeout, sand & binder/catalyst calibration, heat set up, and general foundry operations. This role ensures that all processes are performed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards of quality.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.

  • Oversee all processes such as mold set up, ladle preparation/pouring, pattern inspection, furnace changes, metal sampling, casting shakeout, etc. to ensure they meet production and quality standards.
  • Manage and lead a team of foundry technicians, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations.
  • Developing and optimizing the mold process; ensuring continuous improvement.
  • Ensure all processes comply with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in all areas and implement changes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Driver in ERP transitions; ensuring all secondary functions, including scheduling, are utilizing EPICOR to necessary standards.
  • Work closely with the manufacturing support team, and other departments to ensure seamless workflow and timely delivery of products.
  • Primary communication between BCT and BCT Cast products to ensure BCT’s production needs are met.
  • Prepare and present reports on process performance and improvement initiatives for senior management.
  • Supporting BCT’s culture and Core Values.

  • Ability to function well in a fast-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Excellent communication problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent understanding of melt, pouring, air set molding, and investment lost wax preferred.
  • In-depth understanding of foundry processes with familiarity with quality control standards and safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in using manufacturing software and tools for process management and quality control.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Education and/or Experience

Requires bachelor’s degree and five to seven years of related experience, or ten to twelve years of progressively responsible related experience, or a combination of education and experience.



9:00pm - 7:00am, Sunday through Thursday, Fridays as deemed necessary
