Job Description:

This job posting is for candidates interested specifically in our San Francisco or Sacramento offices.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  1. Able to perform all essential Entry Level/Intern Project Engineer responsibilities
  2. Attend and document project meetings (write minutes)
  3. Set up and maintain electronic filing system
  4. Update and maintain all sets of drawings, specifications, and logs
  5. Assist with preparation of CPM schedules
  6. Assist with updating and maintaining master CPM schedule
  7. Evaluate and understand basic construction means and methods
  8. Maintain a site-specific safety plan and pre-task planning process, including audits, meetings, training, etc.
  9. Distribute all documents to subcontractors and maintain document logs
  10. Evaluate field problems and document PCI’s
  11. Prepare and maintain PCI logs on CMiC system
  12. Review, analyze, and transmit submittals
  13. Prepare and maintain submittal logs and procurement log
  14. Perform expediting functions
  15. Cost code and/or verify correct codes on time sheets
  16. Code Accounts Payable Workflows as assigned
  17. Verify original estimate quantities for labor cost reports
  18. Report quantities in place and maintain labor cost report
  19. Prepare and document extra work orders
  20. Review and assemble change order submittals and quantity surveys
  21. Maintain PCI log in CMiC system
  22. Set up and maintain a Quality Management system
  23. Maintain progress photo album
  24. Compile contract close-out documents (O&M manuals, as-builts, etc.)
  25. Maintain record set drawings
  26. Document punch list work
  27. Perform basic functions of Building Information Modeling and model administration
  28. Complete other responsibilities as assigned

MINIMUM SKILLS OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Engineering, Construction Management, or Architectural degree, or completion of Construction Management Certificate Program, or equivalent
  2. 0-3 years of construction-related experience, or equivalent
  3. Construction-related internship experience preferred
  4. Field experience a plus – e.g. carpenter
  5. Basic understanding of construction cost accounting
  6. Basic estimating and scheduling skills
  7. Basic computer skills
  8. Ability to read and understand plans and specifications
  9. Effective organizational skills
  10. Effective written and verbal English language communication skills
  11. Ability to use independent judgment; self-starting
  12. Drafting and advanced computer skills a plus
  13. Knowledge of virtual construction technology systems preferred
