Job Title:Janitor General Purpose:

This position keeps buildings in clean and orderly condition.

Perform cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, vacuuming, cleaning restrooms and removing rubbish.

Primary Accountabilities*:

•Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them.

•Gather and empty trash.

•Service, clean, and supply restrooms

•Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.

•Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.

•Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment

•Mix water and detergents in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent Candidates must be “fit to work”

•Walk long distances quickly

•Bend over and reach over head

•Be punctual with good attendance

•Work on knees for short periods of time

•Walk up and down stairs

•Must be able to lift and carry 25 lbs
