**Senior Executive Assistant**

**What you will do**

The Senior Executive Assistant supports the Vice President & Executive Directors of the Combination Product Quality (CPQ) organization and will be responsible for performing numerous administrative duties. The Senior Executive Assistant works closely with the CPQ Leadership Team to support administrative needs, assist in project management communications, and ensure appropriate efficiencies and processes are in place to streamline and execute work. The ideal candidate is highly self-motivated, professional, and capable of managing their work load and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced corporate environment.

+ Proactively manage executive's calendar with a focus on efficient time utilization and time conflict management, ensuring the VP and leadership team are appropriately represented at all forums

+ Manages and coordinates VP and leadership team logistics (flights, transportation, location)

+ Answer questions/furnish information to keep the executive's time free of minor detail work, including screening and directing incoming meeting invitations, calls, and correspondence

+ Plan and organize work to ensure the executive has appropriate time to perform duties and to be present on time and prepared for commitments

+ Prepare the VP with pre-read and briefing documents in advance of daily meetings

+ Coordinate arrangements for and execute key tasks to effectively manage a variety of global business meetings applying the latest technologies

+ Conserve executive's time by acting as a delegate within some of Amgen's systems and processes as allowed by delegation requirements, as well as initiating calls and teleconferences

+ Review, prioritize and flag high priority communications (emails and documentation)

+ Oversee VP's Leadership Team meeting agendas; gather appropriate documents (i.e. pre-reads, presentations, etc.), issue agenda and pre-reads to Meeting participants

+ Coordinate extensive domestic and international travel arrangements amidst dynamic business requirements

+ Preparation and processing of expense reports ensuring compliance with company policies

+ Maintaining up?to?date distribution lists

+ Organize and coordinate logistics for group meetings, including arranging venues, equipment, and catering

+ Setting up of interviews, as needed

+ Proficiency in all current Amgen technologies and platforms

+ Develop and maintain a system for organizing and prioritizing incoming calls and mail

+ Assist with the preparation, editing, and formatting documents, reports, announcements, and presentations

+ Manage multiple priorities in a continually changing environment

+ Maintain an unyielding level of confidentiality and integrity with all information that flows through the role

+ Continuously improve the administrative services including proposed process improvement

+ Additional responsibilities as assigned

**Basic Qualifications:**

Associate's degree and 4 years of administrative experience OR

High school diploma / GED and 6 years of administrative experience

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Bachelor's degree and direct experience supporting a senior executive for a large corporation

+ 5+ years of Administrative Assistant experience

+ Amgen experience

+ Absolute discretion and confidentiality, as well as good judgment, creativity, flexibility and initiative in resolving issues

+ Possess fundamental presentation skills (speaking in front of medium to large groups while using appropriate AV equipment)

+ Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

+ Experience working in the biopharma industry

+ Ability to prioritize projects of greater urgency and importance

+ Expert level PC skills in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, database skills, SharePoint and advanced typing skills

+ Must be a Team Player and a Role Model

+ Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills in communicating key business and clinical information

+ Excellent time management and project management skills

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
