With billions of assets under advisory, Alera Group services a wide variety of retirement plans including 401(k), profit sharing, defined benefit, cash balance, 403(b), 457, PEP and deferred compensation. We work with plan sponsors on plan design, employee education, investment analysis, benchmarking and fiduciary plan governance.
Well-qualified candidates will be comfortable with investment advisory, defined benefit, non-qualified plans and defined contribution solutions.
- Business Development & Sales - Focus on new business development through lead generation campaigns, cold calling, and customized prospect messaging. Actively seek relationships with plan sponsors, strategic partners, producers, and sales representatives locally and nationally.
- Sales Goals & Growth - Drive consistent profitability, meet annual production requirements, and pursue cross-selling opportunities to enhance client relationships and support revenue goals.
- Sales Process Management - Manage the end-to-end sales process, including meetings, proposals, RFPs, follow-ups, presentations, and closing deals. Oversee proposal preparation and assist with responding to RFPs aligned with organizational goals.
- Training & Collaboration - Participate in sales training programs and collaborate with internal teams to understand and articulate Alera Group’s competitive differentiation.
- Client Engagement - Develop relationships at local and regional levels, ensuring broad distribution of Alera Group's products and services
- 5+ years experience in financial services, with institutional and retirement plan sales experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must hold Series 6 (or 7), 63 and 65 (or 66) licenses and applicable state insurance license(s) or be willing to obtain them.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) with strong organizational, communication and presentation abilities. Detail-oriented and financially savvy with excellent listening and customer service skills.
- Personable, motivated, goal-driven and consultative, with the ability to engage senior-level management and project executive presence.
- Willing to travel up to 50% within the assigned territory
