Position: Corporate Administrative Assistant


Location: Greensboro, NC


General Position Summary


The Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support and reception support to our corporate office. This position will provide general assistance to all levels of corporate staff within Adams Electric Company.


Responsibilities:


+ Greets clients, visitors, and guests; determines the purpose of each persons visit and directs or escorts him or her to the appropriate location.


+ Answers, screens, and directs phone calls to staff; takes messages and schedules appointments if necessary.


+ Receives mail, documents, packages, and courier deliveries and delivers or distributes items.


+ Performs administrative and clerical support tasks.


+ Performs basic filing and recordkeeping.


+ Maintains office supplies and coordinates maintenance of office equipment.


+ Maintains filing systems as assigned.


+ Retrieves information as requested from records, email, minutes, and other related documents; prepares written summaries of data when needed.


+ Responds to and resolves administrative inquiries and questions.


+ Coordinates and schedules travel, meetings, and appointments for managers and executives.


+ Performs other duties.


Qualifications:


+ High School Diploma or equivalent required, Associate Degree in Business Administration preferred


+ Minimum 2 years office administrative work experience


+ Can be a combination of education, training and relevant experience.


Required Skills:


+ Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.


+ Basic understanding of administrative and clerical procedures and systems.


+ Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.


+ Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary


+ Ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude


+ Effective oral and written communication skills as required for the position


+ Ability to be self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player


+ Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others


+ Positive can do attitude a must


Work Environment/Job Conditions:


+ General work environment sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning.


+ Noise level is usually low to medium


+ Occasional lifting of up to 35 lbs.
