Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant with at least 6 years of experience to support our team in a fast-paced office environment at our Lancaster TX Consolidated Mail Outpatient Pharmacy (CMOP): The CMOP supports all fifty states, Washington D. C., Puerto Rico, and US Territories and processes over 130 million prescriptions per year and individual CMOP's mail out approximately 515,000 prescriptions per day, with approximately 330,000 Veteran patients served per day. The CMOP utilizes a combination of automated and manual procedures to prepare and dispense Over the Counter (OTC) and legend drug prescriptions, controlled substance prescriptions, bulk type prescriptions, and medical/surgical products directly by mail to patients. The nature of services includes the operation and support of automated and manual filling equipment, and the preparation of prescription orders for mail-out dispensing.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for various clerical and administrative tasks, ensuring smooth operations and effective communication within the organization. This role requires proficiency in office management, strong computer literacy, and excellent interpersonal skills.
Duties:
Prepares reports and other program documentation
Prepares graphics presentations, plans
Coordinates meetings/conferences
Performs data entry, filing and reproduction
Applies familiarity with specialized and technical terminology to proofread and edit documents.
Requirements
Skills:
High School (HS) or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
AT LEAST 6 years of experience
Strong computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with team members and clients.
Attention to detail with strong proofreading abilities to ensure high-quality documentation.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
Familiarity with general office procedures and clerical tasks is essential.
