We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Architect with a strong background in Big Data AWS EC2 AWS EMR Amazon S3 Apache Spark and Python. The ideal candidate will have 15 to 19 years of experience and will work in a hybrid model during day shifts. This role does not require travel. The Principal Architect will play a crucial role in designing and implementing scalable data solutions that align with our company’s goals and impact society positively. Responsibilities

Lead the design and implementation of scalable Big Data solutions using AWS EC2, AWS EMR, Amazon S3, and Apache Spark. Oversee the development and deployment of data processing pipelines to ensure efficient data handling and storage. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the development team to enhance their skills and knowledge in Big Data technologies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Ensure the security and compliance of data solutions by implementing best practices and adhering to industry standards. Optimize data processing workflows to improve performance and reduce costs. Develop and maintain documentation for data architectures, processes, and procedures. Conduct regular code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices. Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in Big Data technologies and incorporate them into the company’s solutions. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to data processing and storage. Work closely with stakeholders to identify opportunities for data-driven improvements and innovations. Implement monitoring and alerting systems to ensure the reliability and availability of data solutions. Contribute to the continuous improvement of the company’s data strategy and roadmap. Qualifications

Possess a strong background in Big Data technologies including AWS EC2, AWS EMR, Amazon S3, and Apache Spark. Demonstrate proficiency in Python for data processing and analysis. Have a minimum of 15 years of experience in designing and implementing data solutions. Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues. Show strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams. Display a deep understanding of data security and compliance best practices. Have experience in optimizing data workflows for performance and cost efficiency. Be familiar with industry standards and best practices for data architecture and processing. Demonstrate the ability to mentor and guide junior team members. Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in Big Data technologies. Have experience in developing and maintaining technical documentation. Show a proactive approach to identifying and implementing data-driven improvements. Certifications Required

AWS Certified Big Data - Specialty AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional Certified Spark Developer The annual salary for this position is between $[150,000 - 170,000] depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans. Benefits
