The hiring range for this role is: 147,190.00 - 206,425.00 This is the lowest to highest salary we, in good faith, believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the hiring range and this hiring range may also be modified in the future. A candidate’s position within the hiring range may be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs. Job Description Summary: Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer, the Managing Director of Talent, Diversity, and Community is responsible for leading the recruiting team, continuing to enhance the diversity and inclusion journey internally aligned with our employment brand and externally with our community partnerships. This role will also support expanding and promoting BCBSA’s community engagement and talent brand within our communities and internally within Blue Cross Blue Shield Association. The Managing Director of Talent, Diversity, and Community will support an inclusive culture with BCBSA as well as provide support more broadly within our communities and with our Plan partners. Success will result in our ability to continue to support internal career development and promotions as well as attract talent aligned with our mission and culture. The ability to engage and provide employee resources that foster a culture of diversity, equity and belonging while connecting within and with our communities and maintain and strengthen our commitment to volunteerism and community impact to support our responsibility to health equity and overall company mission. Primary Job Functions

Strategic Talent Attraction and Employee Experience:

Develop and execute comprehensive talent attraction strategies that align with the organization's goals and objectives. This includes identifying and filling positions internally with skilled talent, attracting external talent, and ensuring a strong employee experience aligned with our Employee Value Proposition (EVP). DEIB Initiatives and Integration:

Engage, nurture, and continuously refine our diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) initiatives. Partner with senior leadership to integrate DEIB principles into core talent management, culture transformation, and management processes, ensuring a diverse and inclusive workplace both internally and within our community. Community and Stakeholder Engagement:

Build and maintain relationships with community partners for volunteerism and strategic partnerships. Foster positive relationships with key stakeholders, including employees and community organizations, to drive community initiatives and partnerships that strengthen our EVP and support the organization's mission and values. Program Assessment and Innovation:

Conduct regular assessments and analyses to measure the effectiveness of all programs and initiatives, focusing on achieving stated results and internally communicated commitments. Stay informed about emerging trends, research, and best practices related to community engagement, DEIB, and talent attraction to continuously innovate and improve our strategies. Required Education, Experience, and Certification:

Education:

Required: Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience Experience:

Required: Minimum of 10 years of experience in talent management, diversity and inclusion, or a related field. Preferred: Health care experience; Prior Blue Plan experience Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Strong interpersonal skills, high EQ, and ability to build trusted relationships with diverse internal/external stakeholders and cross-functional partners. Collaborative and transparent leadership style with ability to intuitively connect the right stakeholders to BCBSA’s public-facing work and internal initiatives at the right time. Strong drive for results and problem-solving mindset. Exceptional leadership and communication skills. A successful candidate will be able to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders at an advanced level. This includes possessing a high aptitude for building relationships and promoting confidence at differing levels of leadership through the use of highly sophisticated communication skills. Ability to build trust, inspire and lead with authenticity. Commitment to fostering a culture of inclusion and belonging. Excellent project management and strategic planning capabilities.
