Gersh Academy is seeking an experienced and proactive IT Manager to oversee the technology infrastructure and IT operations across multiple sites. This position will be based in Brooklyn and will require travel to support our site in Long Island City. The IT Manager will be responsible for managing the organization's IT systems, ensuring network security, with an overwhelming focus on supporting end-users. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the technological efficiency and security of multiple sites, ensuring smooth and reliable access to information, and driving continuous improvements in IT processes. Key Responsibilities:

Network Management:

Manage and maintain the organization’s local and wide-area networks (LAN/WAN) across multiple locations, ensuring high levels of performance and reliability. IT Infrastructure:

Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware, software, and network systems, including servers, routers, switches, and firewalls. Cybersecurity:

Implement and monitor cybersecurity policies and procedures to protect organizational data. Regularly assess potential risks and ensure all systems comply with security standards. User Support:

Provide technical support for end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues across various sites. Ensure timely resolution of IT service requests. Project Management:

Lead IT projects from planning through implementation, ensuring timely delivery of new systems, upgrades, or integrations. Backup and Disaster Recovery:

Maintain data backup procedures and disaster recovery plans, regularly testing for functionality and updating as necessary. IT Policy and Compliance:

Develop and enforce IT policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations. Budget Management:

Develop and manage the IT department budget, making cost-effective decisions for equipment, software, and services. Team Leadership:

Supervise and mentor junior IT staff or consultants, ensuring efficient operation of the IT function across all sites. Maintain a clean service desk environment to ensure acceptable resolution rate. Innovation and Improvement:

Continuously evaluate new technologies and recommend improvements to the current IT infrastructure to enhance operational efficiency with scalability in mind. Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in IT management, with experience overseeing multiple sites. Strong knowledge of Cisco Meraki networking. Strong knowledge of network management (LAN/WAN), server administration, and cybersecurity best practices. Experience with cloud services, virtualization, and enterprise software. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to work independently, take initiative as a self-starter, and manage multiple priorities effectively. Strong vendor management and negotiation skills. Prior experience with budgeting and cost management. Preferred Qualifications:

Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CISSP, or CCNA. Experience in educational or multi-location environments. Benefits only available for full-time employees:
