Transmission and Substation Portfolio Operations, Senior Manager
Job Location: San Ramon; Bakersfield; Chico; Fresno; Pismo Beach; Redding; Rocklin; Salinas; San Luis Obispo Department Overview The Portfolio Operations group is primarily responsible for managing PG&E's Electric portfolio in order to meet the Company's electric work delivery obligations in a reliable and economic manner. Position Summary This role will manage Team functions which include setting up and managing the annual Workplan to ensure work obligations match funding and executability, providing data driven insights into in year work execution, centralizing D/T/S inputs into multiple company processes such as forecasting and change control, advancing Lean Visual Management as part of our Lean Playbook, and identifying and managing tradeoffs and solutions to Portfolio challenges. The group is also tasked with providing operational expertise and data driven insights into our work delivery. All employees are responsible for performing their jobs in accordance with PG&E's vision and values. This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory. Salary Range A reasonable salary range is: Minimum: $143,000.00 Maximum: $257,000.00 Reporting Relationship This position reports to the Sr. Director, Portfolio Operations, and has a team of individual contributors focused on all Portfolio Operations aspects of our Electric Transmission and Substation Portfolios. Job Responsibilities Collaborates closely with T&S Program Management and the T&S Chief of Staff Office as a key partner in helping ensure Electric Transmission and Substation is able to deliver on their full annual Portfolio of construction work safely and efficiently (on time, on unit target, on budget). Accountable for working with leaders across Asset Management, Engineering, Investment Planning, and others to develop each year's annual Workplan. Provides mentorship and coaching across all levels of Electric T&S on Lean Methodology. Oversees the management of unit completion tracking and visibility processes and improvement opportunities for PG&E's T&S portfolio. Serves as the lead negotiator/facilitator for trade offs that may need to occur in work execution across programs. Establishes strategic direction for Portfolio Management of T&S. Fosters the group culture and manages the working environment. Supports senior management in strategic planning and decision-making. Possesses an in-depth understanding of T&S work processes and various regulatory and compliance requirements. Ensures alignment between the Company's vision, goals and strategies and the work performed by the individual contributors. Background Qualifications Minimum Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field, mathematics, engineering, environmental policy or equivalent field of study. Six (6) years minimum of relevant work experience. Valid CA driver's license. Requires a minimum of four years of relevant work experience. Master's degree preferred. Advanced spreadsheet application knowledge. Strong oral and written communication skills. Knowledge of electric operations, preferably T&S. Knowledge of utility departments, business units and functions. Ability to prioritize, plan, perform and communicate activities both in written and verbal form. Outstanding leadership skills. Ability to develop and maintain a positive working environment. Ability to work across functions, remove barriers and partner with other organizations to reach goals. Advanced understanding of corporate governance policies and procedures. Expert communication and presentation skills.
