This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, Aimbridge Hospitality. The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc. Aimbridge Hospitality is actively recruiting for a General Manager to lead our team at the SpringHill Suites by Marriott Madera, CA! The ideal candidate has Marriott experience. This is a great opportunity for a seasoned GM looking to break into the nation's largest third-party management company. The General Manager is responsible for all aspects of operations for their assigned property; providing support supervision and guidance to their management team and front line associates. They will ensure that financial performance is optimized, high quality product and service levels are maintained, and that the hotel is operated in compliance with regulations and brand standards. QUALIFICATIONS: At least 6 years progressive experience in a hotel or a related field; or a 4-year college degree and at least 4 to 5 years of related experience; or a 2-year college degree and at least 5 to 6 years of related experience. Must be proficient in Windows operating systems, Company approved spreadsheets and word processing. Must have valid driver's license for the applicable state. Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly. Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace. RESPONSIBILITIES: Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner. Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming. Comply with certification requirements as applicable for position. Conduct weekly staff meetings and training sessions. Ensure all department heads maintain budgeted productivity levels. Forecast monthly the hotel's financial position. Interview all prospective final candidates for any vacant position. Motivate, coach, counsel and discipline all management personnel. COMPENSATION: The salary range for this position is $75,000 to $80,000 annually. After an initial waiting period, those hired into full-time positions are eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: Medical, Dental, and Vision Coverage Short-Term and Long-Term Disability Income 401k Retirement Plan Salary + Quarterly bonus incentive of up to 50% of salary This company is an equal opportunity employer.
