Job Area: Engineering Group, Engineering Group > Software Gaming Engineering General Summary: Qualcomm's Snapdragon Studios are seeking an experienced engineer to collaborate directly with PC game and game engine developers globally. The role involves driving the implementation of differentiating features and optimizations to deliver superior experiences on the Snapdragon chipset. The primary focus will be on GPU and CPU-related features and optimizations for PC game engines, while encompassing all Snapdragon SOC hardware blocks, including audio, video, neural processing, display, and connectivity. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. 2+ years of work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc. Preferred Qualifications: 5+ years of professional experience Comfortable working in large unfamiliar C/C++ codebases Experience developing source-level game engine features/optimizations Solid 3D graphics related mathematics background Expertise with Vulkan, DirectX, OpenGL, or OpenGL ES Excellent written and verbal communication skills Self-motivated Familiarity with 3D graphics profilers and debuggers such as Snapdragon Profiler, RenderDoc, Pix, NSight, etc. Familiar with modern PC/console game engine architectures Keywords: PC Gaming, VR, AR, Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Vulkan, Unreal Engine 4, UE4, Unity 3D, Frostbite, Snowdrop, Graphics, Rendering, GPU, Shader, Compute, Android, Gaming, OpenGL ES, DirectX, C++, Game Development, Game Engine Qualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
