Vice President Strategic Sales - 3PL & Contract Logistics

Summary : The Vice President Strategic of Sales will be responsible for growing the organization's warehousing and transportation portfolios across the United States. This position will oversee the onboarding of new clients, as well as a focus on renewal and expansion strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and establish a strong understanding of company's service offerings and capabilities.
Build a book of business and maintain an extensive sales pipeline through cold calling, face-to-face customer meetings, networking, and closing new deals.
Leads the entire customer pursuit from initial introduction, customer needs assessment, RFI/RFP process, internal proposal development, solutioning and pricing, presentation and deal close.
Provide ongoing account management to customers focusing on commercial aspects of the relationship that maintain and fuel account growth.
Develop and execute a business plan that will generate hyper revenue growth and exceed the sales quotas set by the company.
Be knowledgeable of competitors and industry trends.
Maintain and update CRM for all leads and opportunities, pipeline management, sales forecast, and customer information.
Partners with operations to successfully deliver against customer requirements.
Ability to establish, maintain and grow strong customer relationships across multiple levels of the customer organization while also identifying specific needs and behaviors of key decision makers.
Assist with on-boarding process to ensure both internal and external customer expectations are met.
Positions Dependable's entire portfolio of supply chain and transportation services with customers.
Travel required - at least 50% travel.
Required Education And Experience
BA, BS, degree preferred and or higher degree of education.
10 + Years experience in the 3PL & Contract Logistic Industry
15-20 plus years of progressive industry sales experience within transportation, warehouse operations and freight forwarding.
Solution oriented sales approach.
The ideal candidate will have an established book of business that align with client's industry vertical focus (Retail E-Commerce, CPG, Home Goods, FMCG, Food & Beverage, Consumer Electronics, Technology Sector, and Automotive, Industrials).
Experience with Salesforce, ZoomInfo, and other sales technologies.
Deep experience with solutions-based sales, i.e Miller Heiman approach.
Passionate about success and owning the customer experience from the beginning through contract execution.
