7+ years of experience in a product development engineering role 3+ years of managing a product development team. 5-7+ years of experience working with suppliers based in Asia Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or industrial engineering or demonstrated successful equivalent work experience. Fundamental knowledge of tooling and various other manufacturing processes (investment casting, forging, stamping, painting, etc.) Knowledge/experience with injection molding processing and tooling (Ex. compression molding processing and tooling, composite material processing and tooling). Statistical Process Control experience Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc) Strong documentation skills and experience Ability to travel internationally and domestically. The Hiring range base pay for this position is $99,200 - $141,125 + Bonus + Benefits Responsibilities
Manage the Product Development engineering team to develop all components and assembly of golf clubs, all of the way through Production release of Finished Golf Club. Responsible for various aspects during the development phase, BSA through Production, to ensure the production parts meet the intended design and product specifications. Have expert knowledge of supplier manufacturing processes and be the clear owner of understanding how various critical processes produce golf clubs. Work closely with our suppliers to ensure our new products are reviewed/improved for Design for Manufacturing. Establish, define, and implement acceptable quality criteria and limit samples. Responsible for qualifying new products through Pilot Run; ensure that the manufacturing processes can meet cost/quality/capacity to meet overall business objectives. Plan and execute testing and analysis for product validation and qualification and robust design. Qualify new suppliers’ processes as well as products. Establish, refine, and develop new processes as needed for new products, business/communication process improvement, and assist in delivering the department and company objectives. Create and revise product component and assembly specifications. Responsible for ensuring all product specifications are managed/updated accurately and maintained in a timely manner. Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues as needed. Develop new vendors and manufacturing options for all club components. Travel to Asia and Mexico-based suppliers to manage development of new projects. Responsible for continuous improvements in our critical manufacturing processes at the suppliers. Review current processes and procedures and lead continuous process improvement project teams. Analyze daily factory WIP reports and direct Asia Team engineers to resolve bottlenecks in manufacturing. Manage the overall budget for the Product Development team.
