As a Heavy Equipment Field Mechanic on the DTG Recycle Team, you will be part of a community of valued employees who work together and create an environment that is welcoming, caring and trusting. What you will be doing

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain all equipment, commercial fleet operations, diesel engines, air brakes, and electronics.
  • Perform all levels of preventive maintenance services on trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment.
  • Road test vehicles when necessary to diagnose malfunctions or to ensure that they are working properly.
  • Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other important parts to ensure that they are in proper operating condition.
  • Communicate with the Managers through verbal and written methods to assure repairs are completed correctly.
  • Maintain work area appearance and safety.
  • Perform duties with little or no supervision and in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Use hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, pressure gauges, and precision instruments, as well as power tools such as pneumatic wrenches, welding equipment, and jacks and hoists.
  • Other job duties as needed.

What you will bring along

  • 3-7 year of experience
  • Cylinder repair
  • Hydraulic systems (control valves, solenoids, PPC valves, ect.)
  • Track repair (track chain, sprockets, finals)
  • Services
  • Electrical (pressure switches, lights, etc.)
  • HVAC systems
  • Engine diag. And repair
  • Swing systems
  • Aftertreatment diag.
  • Differentials
  • Wet disc brake systems
  • Wheel seals and wheels bearings
  • Komatsu, CAT, John Deere, Genie
