What We Offer This position is responsible for the controls portion of projects and initiatives at the Newark Compounding Facility. This position will be the primary programmer for PLC installations and changes and adding graphics to the operator interfaces of the existing systems. Typically, this position is responsible for many PCT projects and initiative at the plant site or is part of a Process Control Technology (PCT) project team for a major PCT project. Major Responsibilities Program Allen-Bradley PLC's using ladder logic. Must have working knowledge of the newest platforms. Preferred knowledge of legacy systems. Program HMI and MES systems using Wonderware Archestra, and Allen-Bradley Panelview software. Ability to provide startup support for new programming and changes to existing programs. Ability to troubleshoot control circuits for PLC wiring Ability to read PLC wiring diagrams and make mark-ups. Prefer ability to use Autocad software. Knowledge of Windows based software. What You Offer Basic Qualifications Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering or Controls Engineering and at least 5 years of experience in a related field, or Electro/mechanical OR; Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Controls Engineering and at least 2 years of experience in a related field, or Electro/mechanical Knowledge & Skills: Organizational skills and a systematic approach to problem definition and solution development. Effective communication skills, written and verbal, plus skills to work on a project and maintenance team to effectively execute a project and troubleshoot a problem area. Electrical, instrumentation and control systems knowledge are required of this position.
