JOB SUMMARY

KIOTI Tractor, a leader in the design and manufacture of compact tractors, utility vehicles, turf care, and compact construction equipment, is seeking an HR Payroll & Benefits Specialist to join their team onsite in Wendell, NC. This individual will support and assist the Human Resources Department at KIOTI Tractor by administering activities relating to the company payroll and benefits. The ability to build relationships, exercise good judgment, and work across multiple time zones and in a global environment is critical in this role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF JOB

Payroll:

  • Responsible for accurate and timely payroll processing for US and Canadian entities.
  • Process payroll for hourly and salaried employees including administering regulatory requirements (garnishments, support orders, etc), mandatory and voluntary deductions, and regular or semi-regular variable earnings (commissions, bonus, etc).
  • Execute time and attendance processing and interface with payroll.
  • Implement and maintain payroll best practices to improve efficiency and consult with the Human Resources team to improve payroll and HRIS processes.
  • Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed timely and accurately.
  • Understand all aspects of payroll regarding payroll laws and regulations.
  • Provide excellent customer service to employees in the areas of compensation, taxes, and how to request time off.
  • Process employee data and ad hoc changes.
  • Monthly distribution of commission reports.
  • Develop ad hoc financial and operational reporting as needed.
  • Stay current with local, state, and Federal HR laws, legislation, and trends and maintain compliance with each.

Benefits:

  • Administer all employee benefit programs including enrollments, terminations, and changes to coverage.
  • Coordinate and conduct the onboarding process for newly eligible employees and presents benefits presentations to ensure an understanding of benefit plans and enrollment provisions.
  • Fulfills all governmental regulatory mandates and ensures filings are performed as required.
  • Plans and administers annual open enrollment period, including the preparation and distribution of materials, conducting meetings to communicate changes, and arranging for on-site representation by providers
  • Addresses benefits inquiries to ensure timely and accurate resolutions
  • Processes monthly billings from providers. Reviews billings for accuracy and approves for payment in a timely manner
  • Coordinate with third party administrator to manage disability claims according to the plan
  • Administers online COBRA enrollments/changes

Compliances:

  • Administer Workers Compensation coverage by accurately reporting incidents to the carrier and filing claims.
  • Manage FMLA cases and provide guidance on compliance and obligations to all parties.
  • Manage 5500 filings for retirement and health benefits by providing reports to necessary parties and ensuring deadlines are met.

Other:

  • Assists in responding to unemployment claims
  • Assist with the planning and coordination of all company events, i.e. Holiday Party and Employee Appreciation.
  • Assist the HR Team with any other duties within the department as needed.

EDUCATIONAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • 4+ years of experience in payroll processing and benefits administration
  • Working knowledge of payroll best practices
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations
  • Detail-oriented
  • Proven ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • High level of confidentiality with uncompromising integrity and professional maturity
  • Must be self-motivated with ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with minimal supervision
  • Possess ability to see projects through conclusion and implementation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel
  • Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now a plus
