As the Manufacturing Maintenance Manager, you will lead the daily functions of our Maintenance department, oversee capital projects, and ensure regulatory compliance while fostering a safe and efficient working environment. This role will involve strategic planning, budget management, and optimizing facility and equipment performance to support business objectives.


Responsibilities:

1. Team Leadership & Management

  • Oversee daily maintenance operations and external contractor activities, set team goals, and ensure performance alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Foster a supportive environment focused on growth and open communication, empowering the team to achieve business goals effectively.


2. Capital Projects Execution (CapEx)

  • Prepare, manage, and monitor Capital Asset Projects, ensuring ROI, accurate funding, and resource allocation for all facility upgrades.
  • Drive design modifications to enhance equipment efficiency and facilitate new product capabilities.


3. Strategic Planning & Expansion

  • Develop strategic plans for equipment upgrades, replacement, and capacity expansion to align with business growth, cost savings, and new product needs.


4. Standardizing Processes & Programs

  • Implement and document maintenance procedures, including Capital startup plans, SOPs, and preventive maintenance programs.
  • Establish a streamlined inventory and procurement system to support preventive maintenance efforts effectively.


5. Risk & Compliance Management

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements concerning waste disposal, facility permits, safety codes, and insurance guidelines.
  • Maintain security measures, including fire safety, alarm systems, and evacuation protocols.


6. Budgeting & Cost Management

  • Manage operating and capital budgets, collaborating with other leadership to develop cost containment strategies and ensure fiscal responsibility.
  • Implement both short- and long-term plans for cost control and reductions within the department.


7. Leadership Development & Safety Advocacy

  • Actively promote a safety-first culture, adhering to all Environmental, Health, and Safety standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement within the department, managing resources effectively to support plant operations and reduce waste.


Requirements:


  • Experience: 7-10 years of progressive experience in manufacturing, with a focus on maintenance and leadership.
  • Education: Bachelors Degree required.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency with CMMS, preventive maintenance practices, and an understanding of engineering drawings and PLC programming.
  • Strong computer literacy, including CMMS, email, spreadsheets, and word processing.
  • Skilled in precision measuring instruments, including electrical metering and calipers.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, navigate stairs, and perform physical inspections and repairs.
