**This position is onsite in Milwaukee, WI**

SUMMARY: We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated CNC Machinist to join our vibrant and dynamic team. As a CNC Machinist, you will play an absolutely crucial role in our manufacturing process, programming, and maintaining computer numerical control (CNC) machines with unparalleled precision and exceptional accuracy. Your main responsibility will be to produce intricate, detailed, and high-quality components that meet our exacting standards.

ESSENTIAL COMPENTENCIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Personally exhibits, recruits and coach's associates consistent with Core Behaviors
  • Responsible for promoting culture of safety
  • Plans machine by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
  • Programs mills and lathes by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs.
  • Sets-up mills and lathes by installing and adjusting three- and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers; indicating vices; tramming heads.
  • Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces; adhering to international standards.
  • Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
  • Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
  • Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
  • Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
  • Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to think analytically and solve common and complex problems
  • Ability to complete own set ups and minor program edits
  • Values precision and enforces quality standards
  • Ability to read and comprehend a variety of instructions, including blueprints, diagrams, and work instructions
  • Experience operating CNC machines including 5 axis mills, Mill/Turn, Wire EDM
  • Program using G&M code/Cadcam
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Must be able to read Micrometer, Dial Calipers, Scale-Various types of measuring equipment

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • No direct supervisory responsibilities


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ years of experience as a CNC Machinist or similar role
  • Vocational or Technical training in CNC machining or related field
  • Apprenticeship programs that combine on the job training with classroom instruction

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • CNC certificate preferred

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Good working conditions. Work is performed during traditional working hours; regular day hours Monday through Friday; although there may be some changes to the work schedule to include some weekends or evenings.
  • Employee is regularly required to speak and understand English, stand, walk, sit, use hand to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms. Employees are required to use computers and other equipment.
  • Employees frequently lift and/or move up to _50_ pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision and the ability to clearly focus vision.

  • Eye protection, hearing protection, and foot protection as needed.
