Entry-Level Machinist – Sheet Metal Shop $16-17 per hour

Daily Workflow:

» Operating and maintaining precision machinery, such as CNC machines, shears, and brakes, for sheet metal fabrication

» Cutting, grinding, and sanding stainless steel, aluminum alloys, and cold-rolled steel to specifications

» Using measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, tape measures) to ensure precise dimensions and tolerances

» Powder coating processes including prepping surfaces, hanging materials, and cleaning of parts.

» Interpreting and following detailed work orders, blueprints, and drawings to fabricate custom components like exhaust hoods, tables, and brackets

» Assembling and welding metal components as needed, particularly TIG welding for stainless steel and aluminum

» Quality control checks on finished parts to ensure they meet customer specifications

» Maintaining a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety standards for metalworking equipment

» Performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery and tools

» Collaborating with team members to complete complex projects and meet production deadlines

We’re Seeking:

» Basic experience with hand tools and measuring instruments

» Ability to work with metals, including grinding and sanding stainless steel, mild steel, and aluminum

» Familiarity with AMADA and Haas machinery is a plus

» Powder Coating knowledge is a plus

» Strong attention to detail and precision

» Comfort with physical tasks in a manufacturing environment

» Experience or aptitude for working with tools and metals

» Familiarity with working with stainless steel and aluminum is helpful

Schedule:

» 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday – Thursday (4 days, 10-hour shifts)
