Functions as a member of the endoscopy team. Responsible for setting up and turning over assigned cases, and maintaining a sterile field, if required. This position requires an understanding of the principles of aseptic technique and sterilization. Performs a variety of tasks such as care of equipment and instruments, supplies, as well as stocking, cleaning, inventory, etc. The endoscopy technician must know policies and procedures pertaining to duties and be able to fulfill verbal and written instructions. Adheres strictly to all OSHA, SNGA and other regulatory standards and guidelines, safety, and infection control policies. Description

High School graduate or equivalent required. Endoscopy or OR experience preferred. BCLS certification required. Completion of a certified patient care technician or nursing assistant program, certified OR technician program, or acceptable on the job training program.NoneBasic Life Support (BLS) certification required
