Reporting to the C Suite leadership team, this role will oversee all aspects of the companys accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective cash management, and compliance with US GAAP. The Controller will play a key role in shaping financial strategy and supporting the organization's growth. Key Responsibilities for the Controller: Accounting Operations: Oversee the general ledger and accounting functions, ensuring adherence to GAAP standards and regulatory requirements, while maintaining accurate financial records. Financial Reporting: Provide timely and accurate financial reports that guide decision-making across the organization. Financial Controls: Develop, implement, and maintain robust financial controls and guidelines to protect the companys assets and ensure accurate reporting. Cash Management: Manage the companys cash flow, including forecasting and implementing strong cash control policies. Operational Strategy: Contribute to the development of both short- and long-term operational strategies to support the companys growth. Process improvements: Document and maintain a system of accounting policies and procedures. Design and manage the accounting department's organizational structure to meet departmental goals. Lead and manage the accounting team, fostering a positive work environment and supporting professional growth Manage daily operations within the accounting department, including accounts payable, cash management, banking, treasury, and payroll functions. Maintain the companys chart of accounts and an organized accounting filing system. Coordinate the preparation of the companys annual report. Coordinate with external auditors to ensure timely and accurate annual audits. Monitor debt levels and ensure compliance with debt covenants. Oversee compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements, including tax filings. Manage the administration and renewal of business insurance policies. Qualifications: Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or operational finance roles. Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience. CPA is required or relevent Real Estate accounting experience Ability to work independently with a strong drive for results. Experience working within real estate is highly preferred but not required Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and departments. Familiarity with the healthcare industry is preferred but not required Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple high-priority tasks in a fast-paced environment. Experience with mid to large size ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, Netsuite, etc.) Salary: $100,000-$130,000
