Nursing Assistant - CNA - Oncology

Evening shift - 36 hours

is a 15-bed inpatient unit that provides medical care to adult oncology patients. On this unit, you will care for patients with acute leukemia and other hematological malignancies, blood and marrow transplants, and solid tumors. Our hematologic malignancy and hematology patients have access to some of the most innovative and advanced therapies in the world. Because Kimmel Cancer Center research scientists and clinicians closely work together, new drugs and treatments developed in the research laboratory are quickly transferred to the clinical setting, offering patients improved therapeutic options and the chance to participate in innovative clinical trials.

A

Nursing Assistant

works under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, and taking into consideration the developmental needs of the patient, performs delegated duties related to the comfort and personal needs of the patients. These activities may include ADL(s), nutritional support, patient mobility, vital signs, changing beds, replenishing room supplies and assisting healthcare team with specific treatments and/or procedures.

Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required Active Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) in Maryland is required. One year of clinical experience e.g., home care, outpatient, acute care (hospital preferred) technician experience during the most recent two years in a setting relevant to the unit; volunteer work as EMT or CRT may be considered. BLS CPR certification required: AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network accepted.

Salary Range: Minimum 17.21 per hour - Maximum 19.97 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
