Responsibilities

Noblis is seeking to hire a Software Developer (All Levels) in Reston, VA

As a Software Developer with our team, you will be working with our federal clients to rapidly develop innovative solutions for immediate mission challenges. In your role, you will work across a portfolio of projects with other developers, engineers, data scientists, and subject matter experts (SMEs) to design, develop, and test software. You will be asked to analyze our clients' challenges and provide solutions by identifying and applying appropriate tools and technologies and developing various types of applications. Developer responsibilities include researching, programming, debugging, and working in a fast-paced, collaborative, team environment. In this role you will also be asked to regularly communicate with your team, perform code reviews, keep track of tickets, and communicate with clients to provide progress status updates.

Responsibilities:

Identify, apply, and adapt the latest research methodologies and open source solutions

Research, apply, analyze, and document technical approaches and their outcomes

Rapidly prototype software solutions both individually and in a team setting

Develop cutting edge solutions to maximize the performance, stability, and distribution processing of systems

Participate in code reviews, both as a reviewer and a submitter

Work in an Agile environment facilitated by tools like Gitlab, Jira, Confluence, Teams, and Outlook

Improve your knowledge of software development best practices

Assist in building Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery pipelines to ensure code is constantly being tested and delivered

Required Qualifications

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related technological domains

Entry-Level

: 0-3 years of experience along with bachelor’s degree

Compensation: $61,600 - $96,250

Junior-Level

: 3-5 years of experience along with bachelor’s degree

Comepnsation: $74,500 - $116,425

Mid-Level

: 5-8 years of experience along with bachelor’s degree

Compensation: $99,100 - $154,825

Senior-Level

: 8+ years of experience along with bachelor’s degree

Compensation: $109,100 - $170,450

Proficient in at least one of the following languages: Python, Java, Typescript, JavaScript, Go, Rust, C

Proficient in at least one of the following database technologies: PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB

Understanding of software testing and quality assurance best practices

Experience with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)

Proficient with Git and Git workflows

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to obtain Top Secret with SCI and Polygraph

Experience with one of the following front-end frameworks: Vue.js, React, Angular

Experience with one of the following back-end frameworks: FastAPI, Flask, Express, Spring Boot

Experience working in cloud environments such as AWS or Azure.

Ability to learn and work on different parts of a software stack.

Proficient developing standards-based REST or GraphQL APIs

Experience with game engines such as Unity or Unreal

Experience effectively presenting results and updates to technical and non-technical audiences

Salary at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, and clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position

is provided within the posting and

are based on full time status. Part time staff receive a prorated salary based on regularly scheduled hours. The estimated minimum and maximum displayed represents the broadest range for this position (inclusive of high geographic and high clearance requirements), and is just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package for employees.

USD $61,600.00 - USD $170,450.00 /Yr.
