Key Responsibilities:

  1. Leadership: Drive the success of the Cashiers Office by offering day-to-day administrative oversight and lead work direction.
  2. Compliance Management: Ensure alignment between CSU, Federal, and SDSU Research Foundation (SDSURF) policies with Global Campus and University procedures.
  3. Accuracy in Finance: Ensure the accurate collection of fees and exhibit expert knowledge in financial record-keeping methods and practices.
  4. Administrative Excellence: Manage a variety of specialized administrative responsibilities to support our cashiering operations effectively.

Position Information

  1. This is a full-time (1.0 time-base), benefits eligible permanent/probationary position.
  2. This position is designated non-exempt under FLSA and is eligible for overtime compensation.
  3. Standard SDSU work hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., but may vary based on operational needs.
  4. The individual hired into this role will work on campus at SDSU in San Diego.

Education and Experience

Equivalent to four years of progressively responsible financial record-keeping experience which has provided the above knowledge and abilities; Any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge and abilities.

Key Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or other applicable field of study is preferred.
  2. Experience in a university student account or cashiering environment.
  3. Experience using enterprise computer system.
  4. Comprehensive knowledge of financial record-keeping, mathematical and general office methods, procedures, and practices.
  5. Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Compensation and Benefits

Starting salary upon appointment is not expected to exceed $4,725 per month.

Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department’s fiscal resources.

San Diego State University offers a rich benefits package that constitutes a major portion of total compensation.

CSU Classification Salary Range: $4,166 - $7,312 per month.
