Role Overview:

The team at GTI Energy is quickly expanding and we are seeking a Senior level Manufacturing Engineer to join the team in Phoenix, AZ. This is a unique opportunity to patriciate in the planning and implementation of a new facilities and production lines for the Company. The Manufacturing Engineer will be actively involved in the design process of the new facility, as well as identifying process improvement for current projects related to manufacturing efficiency. Working directly alongside Company ownership and the planning team for new facilities and production lines, this position will play an integral role in the overall success in the opening of new locations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate manufacturing, delivery, customer experience, or other systems and identify ways to improve productivity and quality.
  • Analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Design processes, systems, or enhancements to maximize productivity, efficiency or manufacturing space.
  • Participate in the planning and implementation of Company processes and procedures for a new facility.
  • Monitor all stages of process and procedural development for the new facility to ensure all required quality standards in accordance with project specifications are being adhered to.
  • Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement recommendations for improving productivity or performance.
  • Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, researching testing methods, and conferring with equipment vendors.
  • Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
  • Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods.
  • Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs.
  • Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services.
  • Completes design and development projects by training and guiding technicians.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
    1. Master’s Degree preferred.
  • At least 8 years’ experience in related field of work.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in overseeing teams of engineers and/or outside contractors.
  • Prior experience in developing manufacturing processes and facilities in multiple states.
  • Ability to interface with various groups including customers, vendors, contractors, and manufacturing team members.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
  • Excellent time management and organization skills.
  • Bilingual in English as well as Chinese, preferred
