Job Description
This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and reviewing the procedures involved in manufacturing processes. Their duties include researching automation techniques to maximize the efficiency of production lines and planning factory layouts that optimize how products are made across entire facilities or warehouses, with multiple departments making up one system simultaneously.
Essential Job Functions: develop efficient systems, processes and machines that result in high-quality products. They may also take into account how manufacturing processes impact the environment.
· The main manufacturing engineer responsibilities revolve around studying requirements for each production process and product at hand, and determining the most efficient operations based on these requirements. Also, these professionals may design machines and equipment.
· Must possess strength, stamina and mobility to preform physical work outdoors/indoors in all weather conditions and able to work effectively in an office environment.
· Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, etc.
· Maintains accurate and up-to-date files/data on all
· Ability to effectively evaluate PPV’s manufacturing processes and make sound decisions on how to improve upon them.
· Ability to develop effective automated and non automated systems tailored to PPV’s product outputs.
· Testing of new and existing production procedures.
· Responsible for PPV’s Quality plan and sytems.
· Attention to detail.
· Responsible for all existing and future quality checks/gates and data/record keeping of qc checks.
· Ability to communicate with customer and vendors in the event a defect/reject has been found.
· Lean Six Sigma knowledgeable and able to implement throughout the facilities.
· Ability to efficiently use computer software for models, drawing, concepts, etc.
· Have a good knowledge of tool design and fabrication methods.
· Project management ability, commitment to quality, familiarity with safety and environmental standards.
· Must be inventive and meticulous.
· Ability to optimize facility layouts, production lines, machine operations and network performance.
Additional Job Functions
· Collaborate and cooperates with all corporate departments.
· Participate in corporate subcommittees.
· Keeps current with technical developments to other product managers and personnel.
· Perform additional assignments per Operation Manager’s direction.
· Upgrade systems and processes with new technology.

· Find ways to reduce costs and maximize quality.
