Mariani Packing Company, the largest independent dried fruit processor and packer in the United States, has an immediate opening for a Maintenance Mechanic on night shift in Wisconsin Rapids, WI. We are located on the east side of Wisconsin Rapids, just off Hwy 54 and only 15 minutes from Plover.
Full-time positions are currently available in our food manufacturing plant working 12-hour shifts. Shifts work 6:45pm to 7:15am. Night shifts work a 7-day on/7-day off schedule. Prior forklift experience is beneficial but not required for some positions.
Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Mechanics perform preventative maintenance on all process equipment while assisting with facilities maintenance, equipment installation, and overhauling of all process equipment. The mechanic ensures that food safety measures are adhered to in all operations. The maintenance mechanic has two to five years of food manufacturing experience. Essential duties and responsibilitiesinclude the following and other duties may be assigned, as necessary. Other tasks and responsibilities may be assigned as needed by manager.

Responsibilities
Schedules and performs preventive maintenance in a timely manner.
Read sketches, prints, operating instructions and proceed accordingly.
Check materials and parts and makes requests for same.
Lay out work from sketches, drawings, etc.
Fabricate and assemble parts to construct machinery and equipment.
Locate, line up and anchor machinery.
Test and time machinery.
Can repair, adjust, trouble-shoot, and time food processing equipment.
Can repair, adjust, trouble-shoot, and time weigh scales, metal detectors, and case printers.
Proficient in Mig and Tig welding processes.
Demonstrated welding skills with all metals, especially stainless steel.
Analyzes and makes necessary repairs of fluid power systems.
Lay out and install process piping, air, and electrical conduit systems.
Understand food processing equipment computer control systems.
Preferred Requirements
Industrial experience in instrumentation, electrical and mechanical with knowledge in three phase systems, VFDs and PLCs a plus
Outstanding mechanical aptitude
TIG welding and stainless steel fabrication
Understand PC based software
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work independently with minimal supervision
Familiarity with CMMS
