Full-time Swim Instructor & Lifeguard Multiple Positions
(3) Swim Instructors and (1) Lifeguard needed for Cary, NC Location
About Us:
Triangle Swim School has paid training for ALL new employees. We are looking to create the environment you need to turn teaching swim lessons into a career! Full time staff members have the opportunity to work as a Swim instructor, Deck Manager, CPO and or administrator to balance in and out of the pool time. Many of our instructors work on some of their own projects creating additional training programs, curriculum writing, advertising, and social media. We are a small business looking to be flexible, fun and the best place in the Triangle for swim lessons of all ages.
Triangle Swim School has two locations one in Cary and the other in North Raleigh. Both pools operate under one mission to teach and to learn to swim correctly the first time. Our school's gentle hands on curriculum grants each swimmer award winning instruction. Our small class sizes (1:1 or 2:1 ratio) give us the opportunity to ensure all students get the attention that they need to learn.

Responsibilities:
- Teach within our set swim curriculum and have students achieve goals within a given period of time.
- Instruct water safety skills and swimming techniques while ensuring a safe, clean and positive environment.
- Be willing to learn to teach students of all ages 0 - 99.
- Have fun! Create an amazing swim lesson experience for our swimmers.
- Be a team player and work well with others!
- Supervise swimmers to ensure that they are swimming within the safety protocols.
- Be alert and proactive to prevent accidents.
- Control and report unruly behavior and evict individuals not adhering to behavior protocols.
- Respond quickly, intelligently, decisively and in accordance with established emergency and accident management procedures.
- Ensure all aquatic areas are cleaned and maintained daily.
- Maintain good attendance and punctuality.
- Maintain Triangle Swim School standards and reputation in the industry.
Swim Instructor Preferred:
- Competitive swimming experience
- Experience teaching children of all ages
- Experience teaching adult swim lessons
Compensation:
- Up to $18/hr + bonus (depending on experience)

Schedule:
- Morning availability
- After school Monday to Friday availability
- Weekend availability
Requirements:Swim Instructor Requirements:
- Must have at least two years of experience teaching swim lessons
- Must be willing to complete CPR certification and American Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification as administered by TSS
- Must be able to pass pre-employment background screening
- GENUINE love for teaching children.
- Ability to swim; swimming background is beneficial, but not required.
- Availability to work evenings and/or weekends.
- Reliable form of transportation to/from work
- Willingness to be in the water for 4 hours.
Lifeguard Requirements:
· Hold current American Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification or equivalent
· Maintain continuous surveillance of people in swimming pools
· Supervise swimmers to ensure that they are swimming within the safety protocols
· Be alert and proactive to prevent accidents
· Control and report unruly behavior and evict individuals not adhering to behavior protocols
· Respond quickly, intelligently, decisively and in accordance with established emergency and accident management procedures
· Perform rescues in the event of drowning or swimming accidents
· Perform first aid and CPR according to the demands of adverse situations
· Perform pool chemical checks to ensure safety and hygiene
· Maintain accurate records of pool use and chemical levels
· Check safety of rescue tubes and buoys and perform needed maintenance
· Ensure that all aquatic areas are cleaned and maintained on a daily basis
