Ally Building Solutions provides flooring products and quality installation, a full line of window treatments, a wide range of cabinetry options, appliances, millwork, glass enclosures, wire shelving, and design studio solutions to new home builders in greater Orlando, Jacksonville, Tampa Bay and Fort Myers.
We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Receiving Associate to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to efficiently and accurately receive, inspect, and document incoming shipments. This position is critical in ensuring that all incoming goods are handled in accordance with company procedures and standards.
Warehouse Receiving Associate Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and document all incoming shipments of products, materials, and supplies.
- Verify the accuracy of shipments by checking the contents against the packing lists or invoices.
- Ensure that received goods are undamaged, properly labeled, and stored in the appropriate areas.
- Use warehouse management systems and inventory software to log and track incoming goods.
- Collaborate with purchasing and inventory teams to resolve discrepancies or issues with received items.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized receiving area.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment as needed.
- Assist in inventory control and cycle counts.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Warehouse Receiving Associate Requirements
- Previous experience in warehouse receiving or a similar role preferred.
- Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Basic computer and data entry skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of the team.
- Previous warehouse and forklift experience
- The ability to complete various activities in the warehouse that may require hours of lifting, standing, and carrying.
- The ability to lift and move up to 30 pounds consistently and up to eighty pounds occasionally.
