We’re seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated professional to join our team as a Human Resources Generalist in our Brentwood, TN location. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in various HR functions and develop a deeper understanding of Human Resources Operations. We’re looking for someone who is detail-orientated and has strong organizational skills. The ideal candidate will work well across teams, is willing to learn and grow and exercises good judgement.
What you’ll be doing:
- Travel administration for team members at all levels. Coordinating flights, hotels, rental cars and maintaining expenses.
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute all human resource programs including but not limited to recruiting, payroll, benefits and leave, worker’s compensation, HRIS and team member file management and onboarding.
- Handles first line employment-related inquiries from applicants, team members, and business leaders.
- Handles worker’s compensation and auto accident claims for all locations.
- Maintain active DOT Physicals, MVR checks and employment authorizations
- Assist with payroll and benefits administration including payroll back up.
- Accurately respond to employee’s questions and requests
- Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and legal responsibilities
- Other duties as assigned
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, or related degree.
- 1-3 years of previous corporate HR experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of HRIS software or capacity for quick learning.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills, including Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to be proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
- Detail-oriented and computer literate.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive employee information.
