Hackensack Meridian Health seeks an experienced, Board Certified Geriatrician to lead the Division of Geriatrics at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, New Jersey. The successful candidate will further the development of the comprehensive plan of care for older adults across inpatient, ambulatory, long-term care, rehab, and home settings. The Chief of Geriatrics will lead a system-wide plan to meet the tripartite mission of providing outstanding clinical care, developing a rich educational environment for learners, and creating a milieu for cutting-edge research to improve the care of older adults and those with complex illnesses.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive leadership in clinical, educational and programmatic activities, while overseeing quality care in collaboration with the Department Chair and leadership team.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to exceptional patient care and ensure the quality of care through implementation and oversight of quality management programs and processes.
- Actively participate in educational programs and initiatives - implement high-quality learning experiences for medical students, graduate medical trainees and other healthcare professionals.
- Oversee fiscal and operational goals in collaboration with the leadership team.
- Develop a staffing plan to ensure ongoing operation of clinical services.
- Foster and maintain positive effective working relationships with referring physicians and hospitals within our hospital system and the State.

Opportunity Requirements:
- M.D./D.O. degree from a recognized Medical or Osteopathic School
- Board Certified in Geriatrics
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience with proven leadership and clinical skills, strong communication, academic and scholarly skills with a commitment to outstanding patient care
- Have or have the ability to obtain a New Jersey Medical License
- Valid DEA, CDS
